How to use Swiss Travel Pass Check (click to expand)
1) Enter travelers
- Start by entering the number of Adults (25+), Youth (16–25), Children (6–15), and Infants (0–5).
2) Select season (Summer/Winter)
- Pick a travel date on the calendar and the season is determined automatically.
- If your trip is on the boundary, you can lock the season using the dropdown.
3) Select passes/tickets
- Select the passes you plan to use.
4) Select regions/routes you’ll actually take
- On the right, expand a region and check the routes you will take.
5) Enter prices
- First choose the “Price mode (Baseline/Deal)”. Baseline = regular fare. Deal = Saver/Super Saver (may exclude certain trains/times).
- Click “SBB One-click” to search that segment directly on SBB.
- After selecting a date, check the price for your preferred time, then enter it here.
- Enter fares considering all travelers (Adults/Youth/Children), and account for one-way vs round-trip when selecting routes.
- If you catch a Super Saver deal, you’re a lucky guy⭐
- Routes included in your selected pass are automatically set to CHF 0 and locked, so you don’t need to enter anything.
6) Review results
- On the left, check the total “Passes/Tickets + Routes”.
- In the breakdown, you can see what was counted as free/discounted.
7) Category legend
public - public transport (trains/buses)
boat - lake boats / cruises
scenic - panoramic trains / scenic routes
mountain - mountain railways / cable cars
special - extra fee applies

- VIP included routes can vary by season (Summer/Winter) and may change due to operations/maintenance.
- Some panoramic trains may require an additional seat reservation fee.
- Prices/discount rules may change depending on timing and conditions.

Swiss Travel Pass (Continuous)
When selected, “included routes” will be auto-locked (CHF 0).
Swiss Family Card: available for free on request (online or at counters). Children 6–16 travel free when accompanied by at least one parent (no other relatives).
Swiss Travel Pass Flex (Selected days)
When selected, “included routes” will be auto-locked (CHF 0).
Swiss Family Card: available for free on request (online or at counters). Children 6–16 travel free when accompanied by at least one parent (no other relatives).
Swiss Half Fare Card
A card that lets you buy most public transport tickets at 50% price.
Jungfrau VIP Pass
If you select VIP together with Half Fare / Swiss Travel Pass / Flex, a combined discount is applied automatically for 16+ fares.
When VIP is selected, included routes show as CHF 0 / locked + (VIP included).
One Jungfraujoch round trip (Eigergletscher–Jungfraujoch) is treated as included in VIP.

4) Choose regions & routes
Sections are collapsed by default. Searching will auto-expand matching sections.
How to enter prices
Price mode
  • Train/bus/boat fares can vary by date and time.
  • Search on SBB, then enter the standard adult fare per person in the route card’s Price CHF field (Baseline/Deal as applicable).
  • Routes included (free) in Swiss Travel Pass / Flex / VIP are auto-locked.
